Burley
In Indonesia, Burley tobacco is mainly produced in LumajangJember and Banyuwangi. Burley tobacco is air-cured in barns with humidity and air flow controls. Cured leaf color ranges from light brown to mahogany. Burley is mainly packed in either tipped & threshed or hand stripped form and used primarily for American blend cigarettes. Burley is predominantly for the export market.

 
Dark Fire-Cured
In Indonesia, Dark Fire-Cured (DFC) tobacco is mainly produced in Central Java in Klaten and Boyolali. DFC tobacco is cured in barns with controlled humidity and using gentle smoldering fires. Cured leaf color ranges from mahogany to dark brown. DFC is packed in either butted loose leaf or hand stripped form. DFC is marketed for both domestic and export.

 
Flue-Cured Virginia
In Indonesia, Flue-Cured Virginia (FCV) tobacco is produced in LombokLampung and Bojonegoro. FCV tobacco is cured in standard curing barns using external heat source which distribute heat into flue pipes placed inside the barn. Cured leaf color ranges from lemon, orange and mahogany. FCV is packed in tipped & threshed form and is used for American and Virginian blend cigarettes. FCV is marketed for both domestic and export.

 
Sun-Cured
In Indonesia, Sun-Cured (SC) tobacco is produced in Madura, Paiton, Weleri, Mranggen, Temanggung, Kedu, Muntilan, Magetan, Bojonegoro, Jombang, MojokertoJember and Lumajang. SC tobacco is cured in the direct sun either hung or laid out on the ground. Cured leaf color ranges from light brown to dark brown. SC is packed in either loose leaf or hand stripped form and used primarily for cigarettes and cigar fillers. SC is marketed for both domestic and export.

 
Rajangan
In Indonesia, Rajangan tobacco is produced in Madura, Paiton, Weleri, Mranggen, Temanggung, Kedu, Muntilan, Magetan, Bojonegoro, Jombang, MojokertoJemberBondowoso, Lumajang and Banyuwangi. Rajangan tobacco is either hand cut or machine cut into cut rag and cured in the direct sun using drying mats. Color ranges from lemon to orange to brown. Rajangan is packed as cut rag and used for Kretek hand rolled and machine rolled cigarettes. Rajangan is all used in the domestic market.

 
Sun Air-Cured
In Indonesia, Sun Air-Cured (SAC) tobacco is mainly produced in Jombang, Boyolali and Garut. SAC tobacco is cured in open sided bamboo frames with transparent roofing material. Common characteristics of SAC tobacco are heavy bodied, dark orange to dark brown color with high nicotine levels. SAC is packed in either loose leaf, hand stripped or threshed form and used primarily for Kretek hand rolled and machine rolled cigarettes. SAC is marketed predominantly domestic.

 
Dark Air-Cured
In Indonesia, the majority of Dark Air-Cured (DAC) tobacco is produced in Jember while Central Java and North Sumatra producing smaller volumes. "Besuki-NOTA" crops are produced during the dry season and Besuki-NO (traditional) is produced during the rainy season. DAC tobacco is cured in large curing barns made with bamboo frames and closed in using mainly palm leaf fronds with humidity controls. Cured leaf is put through a series of fermentation processes before final sortation and sizing. After fermentation, the final product is light brown to dark brown in color with no disease or insect damage and unbroken. The sortation process will separate leaf qualities for Wrapper, Binders and Fillers. DAC is packed in wrapper/binder bundles, (butted) loose leaf and hand stripped form. DAC is predominantly for the export market.
